I actually miss getting up early for school and putting on a decent outfit. These days my outfits consist of a hat, comfy workout pants, and a tee shirt. I know, real fancy. College is so different than high school. There is no time to get ready, it’s wake up and go. No matter the what time may be, most people look like they have just rolled out of bed. Kudos to anyone who actually puts on a face of makeup or a cute outfit, for me this is just not practical anymore. Any day I get to put on a nicer outfit is an exciting one.
This outfit is something I would wear on a day out with friends in New Haven, Connecticut. It’s a casual look where you can still feel put together. It’s perfect for a bite to eat with girlfriends and some retail therapy. Just what I need, some retail therapy! Too bad my wallet says no to that. Details to this outfit will be below!!
Top: Out of Stock
Watch: Michael Kors
Necklace: Tiffany & Co.
It’s been quite some time, but I am back! The chaos of getting ready for my freshman year of college has finally settled and now I am just shopping for some dorm necessities. I took some time out to travel to Asbury Park, New Jersey (about a half hour south of me) to take some pictures and enjoy good food. I’ve talked about Porta before on here but in case you missed it, it’s a trendy, Italian hotspot for shore loving New Jerseyans. Click here for my last post at Porta.
This time around I took some pictures with one of my best friends, headed to Porta for lunch and then indulged in delicious vegan ice cream at a shop called Cookman Creamery.
My outfit I wanted to keep really, really simple. I wanted the outfit to revolve around the bright red mules. You can get them here for only $21. I am obsessed with them because they’re not only super affordable but they make any simple outfit pop. I stuck with classic, silver accessories to match the metal around the pockets of my white skirt. My top is a simple, plunging, grey body suit and again, super affordable. Outfit details are below!
Grey Bodysuit: Boohoo (now $6)
White Skirt: Lucky Clover
Rings: Alex & Ani
I recently had the opportunity to work with two online stores/boutiques. I have previously worked with Zaful on a post so when they reached out to me again, I figured I’d try some more pieces out. My previous post with Zaful can be found here.
My first Zaful find was a dark, burgundy, velvet bodysuit with a low scoop open back. I loved this item because it was comfy and it could’ve been dressed up or down. In the pictures below I styled it with a denim black skirt with buttons down the middle. My suggestion for the winter is that you wear a cardigan to keep you toasty and bundled up, trust me New Jerseyans the low teens are on their way. Below you will find that I also paired the black skirt with another more simplistic bodysuit. The black bodysuit looks similar to a camisole but the straps are set farther apart, this adds a more modern, tasteful change to a simple piece. The final piece from Zaful was a thin, white pullover with a little detailing by the side upper chest. I love the white pullover because I can throw it on with jeans, sneakers or slip-ons and still look put together and presentable. I definitely give the website a 8 out of 10, the shipping was way better than previously, everything was true to size and the quality of each piece was pretty good!
From Rosegal I received a black, satin looking top with a criss-cross back and an extremely soft and fluffy hooded cardigan. I am OBSESSED with the gigantic cardigan (out of stock). It totally feels like I’m wrapped in a blanket and it’s so cute and wearable! On the other hand, the black satin top didn’t do it for me. Personally, it was ill fitting across my chest and around my armpit and the odd material kind of stuck to my body oddly. For accessories I received a velvet, lavender choker and lobe cuffed earings. The earrings were a miss but the choker was a hit. All in all, I’d give the online store a 6 out of 10. You really have to hunt for good pieces on their site although, that big cardigan OBSESSED! *click any of the blue words to be re-routed to the item on the featured site.*

Yay! Fall has finally taken full affect. With some areas still a little warm, I wanted to create looks that could be worked into fall and summer. The online store Zaful was kind enough to send me a bunch of different pieces of clothing to try out.
In the beginning I choose things that had been out of stock, I wasn’t notified and had to figure that out on my own. Once I noticed I contacted customer service where they had me choose new items. Customer service worked extremely well with me and once the pieces came in I realized it was worth the small hassle.
Delivery took about 2 weeks and some items did come separately, all together I received 3 separate bags. When you first open your package you will most likely notice the extreme wrinkles in each piece of clothing. Fortunately, once ironed the items look 100% perfect. For the most part the pieces were true to size, the site is very inexpensive making it affordable for nearly anyone. I definitely will be purchasing from this site sometime soon.
