Anchor/Reporter dresses under $50

anchoring dressses

Here are anchor/reporter dresses under $50! It’s hard sometimes finding dresses in our business because it’s very “old school.” Do you know what I mean? News is like the only business left that still wears business dresses like this. I find it kind of funny!

I’ve found Nordstrom Rack, Calvin Klein, and Amazon have the BEST dresses for anchors and reporters.

I’m going to aim to post “Dresses under $50” each week! Hope this helps 🙂

AMAZON PRIME DAY – dresses, blouses and accessories

amazon prime day

Today is Amazon Prime Day, I compiled some finds that are ideal for working in the field or behind the desk!

I’ve found that loafers, where the bottom is similar to a sneaker base, are the most comfortable (other than an actual sneaker) while in the field.

Franco Sarno makes amazingly comfortable and cute shoes! You can find them on Amazon, too!

Here are work dresses under $50!
Some of them I have myself. You may have heard it before, but besides Amazon, Calvin Klein makes the BEST dresses for anchoring/reporting. I found some discounted on Nordstrom Rack.

Why you need a phone tripod in the field

A phone tripod is literally a LIFE-SAVER in the field.

I’m from New Jersey so naturally, I love talking with my hands.

For me, it’s more comfortable to have my hands out and not have to hold my mic. PLUS, it gives me the opportunity to hold a prop that may be helpful in my storytelling.

For instance, let’s say you’re doing a story on the country’s heat wave, you can hold your water bottle up if you’re talking about staying hydrated (it would be hard to do with a mic in your hand as well your phone).

A phone tripod is a great way to be hands-free and have more freedom to be creative in your live shots.

I also swear by a fanny pack but that’s a post for another day!

Check my amazon storefront, here, for my must-haves in the field.

In a rush? Amazon prime, quality reporting/anchoring dresses

I thought I’d compile some Amazon dresses/skirts for reporters and anchors. I’ll continuously add to my storefront as I find new dresses.

anchoring dresses

I know sometimes we need something last minute and Amazon is a go-to! I remember my first time anchoring I had a day’s notice and NO DRESS! I needed something quick!

Most of these dresses are under $50, and a lot of them I own myself. FYI, some do require dry-cleaning due to the fabric.
